Learning through Play – St Mary’s Church Usk, Baby & Toddler Group

It is hard to believe that our Baby and Toddler group has now been running for almost two years! The group continues to go from strength to strength providing a social space not only for pre school children but also for mothers, fathers and grandparents. We meet every Wednesday in term time and the toddlers enjoy the ride on vehicles, craft activities, messy play, role play, seasonal photo shoots, song time and construction play (not to mention snack time!!)

The baby area has welcomed lots of new “members” this year, with some families travelling from as far as Pontypool and Abersychan to take part in our sessions.
Rev’d Sally is often found to be amongst the children building towers of mega bricks and duplo! However, we could not continue without the wonderful team of volunteers who give up their time working on a rota basis each term.

Our very grateful thanks also go to the Roger Edwards Educational Trust for their generous grant enabling us to purchase invaluable equipment for the group.
